This week I’m writing about Little About Everything Travel blog. She visited Fiji in September, 2013. she goes on to explain for us how many islands and islets. Islets are just a really small island. there are in the country. There are three hundred and thirty island and one hundred and ten islands that are permanently inhabitable. She tells us that there are over five hundred islets. She says that that’s the perfect get away and honeymoon. I agree with that. I think that sounds perfect too. Fiji is a part of the Polynesian islands and is located in the South Pacific Ocean. She goes on to tell us that it is connected to Brisbane and Sydney from the Polynesian islands. Brisbane and Sydney are on the South Eastern side of Australia if you didn’t know. The island that the author are talking about run though the Coral sea on the Eastern side of Australia just to give you some what of a direction on there these are all at.
On her journey she will be on the islands of Yasawa. The first island they visit is called Nacula Island. They stayed for two nights. Then they woke up and did all there essential things they went to the ferry at Port Denarau. The ferry took them to all the islands in the Yasawa area, so they got to see the beauty of the area and get to pick where they were going to stay for the next fifteen days. Which took five hours to get back to the port. After the ferry ride they go to a resort called Blue Lagoon Resort. the resort they booked was facing the Bure. Later that day they were brought by a vocal tour to a cave to go snorkeling. Which i think seems like the best part. I know if I was brought there that would be my favorite part.
The second night they stayed at White Sandy Beach, Naviti. They were welcomed to the island by the traditional song Bula. The activities on the island included snorkeling, Kayaking, and climbing a tree for coconuts.
The third night they stayed at Matacawa Levu Island Long Beach Resort. The long beach is located in between two island. During certain periods of high tides the beach gets covered with water at least waist high. Then during low tides the beach is walk-able without stepping in water. When they went on the trip there was a period of low tide which was a perfect for them not to have to cross the water or even using the ferry. Where was an interesting event that took place when they arrived they got summoned by guests by beating up a hollow tree to show that food was ready. They stayed on the island for three nights.
The forth night they stayed at South Sea Island. South Sea Island is a very small island that you can walk around in just fifteen minutes. On this island they don’t have any bures, so it’s a very tropical resort. When you are ready for bed you go and sleep in some bunks and there is a common toilet. It’s really for the backpacking type of crowd. The island doesn’t have really anything for activities. It is mainly used as a transit to get to the grand resort called Castaway Island. The resort offered a free glass bottom boat that would tour the island. With the glass bottom you could see the marine life. They didn’t end up during that because they wanted to get to the main land and drive three day’s to the capital. The capital is called Suva.
