Originally when I thought had the chance of doing to Greece I was going to go there for a school trip and visit all the ancient sites and then after that travel across the Adriatic sea to Italy, then go to visit places there. My only interest was going to see the ancient sites in Greece because I was beyond fascinated then I was younger and still am. When the class was were told about the final project I immediately though of traveling and how I wanted to go to Greece, so here I am.
When I was searching for a mentor blog I can across a lot of blogs which is just fine, but II wanted more detail and some history about these pictures that were taken. I came across Leedy’s post and there were a lot of pictures and some details and even some tad bits of history which made that blog the one. It really wasn’t the location that I was most interested in, but I read the history and thought it would work. While reading Leedy’s blog it peaked my interest more until I wasn’t so wanting to go back and choose another location in Greece. I really like the history about the Old fortress. That part really was interesting on when it was made and the style that was used and that it was the only style building in Greece which made it unique. Leedy went over a lot of things in her blog post like locations, events, interesting facts, history, and more. The locations she took pictures of are lanterns, a map of the historic quarter, the Museum of Asian Art of Corfu, older style buildings, Mc Donald’s, Old Town, the Old Fortress, and a ton more! The most interesting picture in her vast collection from her trip was the pictures of the Old Fortress. I likes those pictures because I have been always a fan of all wars. Expressly ancient ones. What fascinates me a lot is how they fought and what they did during those wars that brought them victory. I like to look at how much has changed over the thousand of years. I liked the history in which it was made and the Royal residents that lived inside of it. Expressly during WWII. You wouldn’t think that an old fortress would be used to hide in during those modern times, but they were. Some of her pictures made me feel like I was there and experiencing them myself but I wasn’t. I don’t know if the pictures were that good or it is that I really want to go there. I looked further on her blog and found more places that she has visited and that she travels a lot. She is like TripAdvisor but on WordPress. I really enjoyed reading though her blog and learning about Corfu, Greece. She really made it interesting and didn’t bore me to death. That will be my conclusion to my blog post. See ya next week.
