Commentary: I think that the article stated the truth and that I only disagreed with on part in it. When the author said that teenagers that update their family and friends aren’t apart of the whole other group. I really like how she included in iceberg analogy. That really brought in a new perspective and that really helped the people that picture things when they learn or try to understand things. I also liked how she added statistics in her essay as well. I really made us view an overview on how many people have abandoned there blogs. I also liked that she brought in that almost two thirds have quit on there first day of blogging. I wonder why? But yeah I really liked this article a lot and hope that more authors introduce more of the things I listed above to help enhance their article.
Summary: In the article by Graham Lampa she talks about what the blogosphere is, what’s it about and what he thinks it is and what she thinks and what she thinks should and shouldn’t be in it. She introduces a lot of blog pages that are thoughts over the years. She found out that two thirds of public blogs are abandoned. She added that 1.09 million of these post are a one day thing, so they try it for a day and never go back to it. She also stated that most of all the bloggers today are all teenagers that are updating their family and friends about what’s going on in their life. She says that the teenagers make up there own small group on the side from what the other bloggers do, but she says this is wrong. There is more things a blogger can post on the internet. She says that new is a good general idea. The blogger summarizes it by summing it up all the sources and blogging it. Another thing sis that bloggers don’t target a certain group of people.
Key terms: Iceberg analogy: that is there are two states with the iceberg, first the underwater, these are the bloggers that are the inactive or abandoned and the seconded part is above the which are the active and up to date bloggers. Blogospheres: this is the little community that is made of bloggers, what they do? Imagined communities: In the article she introduce that all online communities are imagined in order words fake.
