Reflection on “Annoying Ways People Use Sources”

When I first started reading this article it caught my attention. The part that caught my attention was the first paragraph because It connected to me on a personal level. I always have those problems when people won’t move over on the interstate. It irritates me a lot and I can see why It would irritate him as well. When I got to the second paragraph I lost my interest. I think the header just raised my expectations to high for this piece and I expected that though the whole thing. After the second paragraph I caught myself looking a my phone for a bit and being distracted. I found myself doing that throughout the article more and more when I got to the end. I was also kind of in a hurry to write my summary because I definitely forgot about it until Monday night. I think It would have been a whole new experience If I did not forget about it until the night before it’s do. I definitely could have gotten it done earlier due to my work calling me off. Now I know how people feel when they are doing their assignment last minute. I don’t get how they get a rush from it. I just get anxiety from doing my assignment later then normal. I did like how the author kept coming back and connected what he was trying to say to something we as the audience can relate to. That really drew me in to what he was trying to pass on even though a lot of his article was boring. I don’t know if others felt that way or if it was just me. Over all I though that the beginning of the article was good, but more into the middle and the end it wasn’t keeping my full attention. After this experience I’m hoping that the next article will be more entertaining and more engaging then this one was.
