For this article I thought it was very educational. I thought that with a lot of references from the past to the present. Like when the author mentioned Benjamin Franklin and how you should keep track of things. The author uses the Fitbit as an example to how you could keep track of some things in the modern times. The Fitbit keeps track of footsteps and also your heart rate but also a lot more. It brought a lot of incite to what they did in the past with self-representation. For example they make sculpures, painting, and other things as well. The author brought a lot of incite about the modern use of self-presentation. The author used selfies, pictures, and signatures. Those are just a few the author listed off. For me personally it made me realize how much has changed from the past to the present and how we use other things to show our self-presentation. Also for me it made me realize that we still use some of they ways they did. In the article the author showed us that there are more then just one way of self-presentation. The author showed us three ways. There are visual, written, and quantitative. The author goes somewhat in depth in telling us what they are about. The author more gives us examples of what they are which helps us more visualize what they looked like and what they did. There wasn’t much I didn’t like about it. There was just a bit of reference word though out the article. That got repetitive even for my like of history. I think I liked this article more based off that it had a lot of history in it and that it made use think more about what has happened to the ways that our ancestors used before us to show self-presentation and how we use it now.
