I know several people that are really good at there job and haven’t worked ten thousand hours that that job. For me riding a bike didn’t take ten thousand hours to master, so I don’t support their statement that becoming an expert takes ten thousand hours. I believe that what he is saying about intrinsic motivation to be true. I find it hard to be motivated when I’m required to be in a course when I don’t want to be there. I agree that If you find that inner motivation that it will become easier because you have been doing it for a while.
